a few moments away from the beach to reflect a kickass lady

Yes, we were at the beach today (I'll post those pics soon), but I want to give props to Olive Riley, who died this past weekend at 108. She wasn't just a feisty Aussie, she was the World's Oldest Blogger. It's never too late to start something new.

Peace out, Ollie. I wish I knew of you when you were still writing.

WOW!!! 108!!! My great aunt lived to be 105 and she got leukemia at 104. That's amazing! I wish I had known her when she was still writing too...

About This Blog

San Diego's Dog Beach (in Ocean Beach) is the original leash-free dog beach. It's a stretch of sand and ocean that is one big 24-hour playground for canines and humans. This unique place is home to many, and a special trip for others. There is always a story to tell. I'm lucky enough to visit Dog Beach nearly every day, and this blog is my way of sharing a wonderful place with anyone who loves dogs, the beach, or both.

I'm a PR gun for hire that spends much of my day tied to the computer or iPhone. After moving to San Diego from the Midwest 14 years ago, I never looked back. I found my home. My home office is only a mile away from the Pacific Ocean, which allows me to enjoy mornings at San Diego's most excellent leash-free beach with my dogs. Social and exercise time for all of us.
