pig pile on lily

Everyone wanted a piece of the new kid on the block this morning. Lily is the bottom of the pig pile, with Tempest, Riptide, Mila & Elsie. Kurt is on his way to save the day, but it was all in fun.

Yeah, pile-up! We have a pic of two Frenchies taken on Saturday, it's a bit fuzzy but they were so cute! I got a cuddle!

april - thanks for the visit! hope to see you at the beach one morning soon.

gennasus - elsie is the larger grey & black dog. she's called a catahoula leopard dog, i think.

I've seen photos of that breed in books but never seen one in the flesh, don't think we have any over here. Interesting breed and a little old lady name.

yes, apparently elsie is a louisiana catahoula hound. sounds very american. :)

mike, elsie's owner, said she had that name when he got her, and she won't answer to anything else. too funny.

About This Blog

San Diego's Dog Beach (in Ocean Beach) is the original leash-free dog beach. It's a stretch of sand and ocean that is one big 24-hour playground for canines and humans. This unique place is home to many, and a special trip for others. There is always a story to tell. I'm lucky enough to visit Dog Beach nearly every day, and this blog is my way of sharing a wonderful place with anyone who loves dogs, the beach, or both.

I'm a PR gun for hire that spends much of my day tied to the computer or iPhone. After moving to San Diego from the Midwest 14 years ago, I never looked back. I found my home. My home office is only a mile away from the Pacific Ocean, which allows me to enjoy mornings at San Diego's most excellent leash-free beach with my dogs. Social and exercise time for all of us.
