some days mean quick visits

Some of the regulars were there this morning en masse. It was a bit of a hectic morning. The dog energy was a bit off. Lots of barking, and a few fights between dogs that normally get along. We kept the visit short.

[The crew (from L-R): Nate, Mike, Wayne, Tom, Rich, Victor - flanked by Hunter and Sissy.]

[One of the big sand-pushing tractor tracks. With a paw print, of course. :)]

Busy place, too bad there were some fights.
Is that the back of a vizsla in the group shot? More of that one please!

that non-vizsla in the background is lizzy, the golden retriever. but, we see vizslas sometimes on the weekends. i'll keep my eye out for them!

I think we're looking at different dogs! The one I meant is definitely not a retriever. It is in your shot with the people and is standing, back to the camera, on the left.

ah, you mean hunter in the foreground! she's an old ridgeback.

About This Blog

San Diego's Dog Beach (in Ocean Beach) is the original leash-free dog beach. It's a stretch of sand and ocean that is one big 24-hour playground for canines and humans. This unique place is home to many, and a special trip for others. There is always a story to tell. I'm lucky enough to visit Dog Beach nearly every day, and this blog is my way of sharing a wonderful place with anyone who loves dogs, the beach, or both.

I'm a PR gun for hire that spends much of my day tied to the computer or iPhone. After moving to San Diego from the Midwest 14 years ago, I never looked back. I found my home. My home office is only a mile away from the Pacific Ocean, which allows me to enjoy mornings at San Diego's most excellent leash-free beach with my dogs. Social and exercise time for all of us.
