hangin' with the big dogs

I apologize for the 2-day darkness. Work has been a little crazy. Tempest & Riptide had their fair share of fun, regardless.

Dude loves to play Tug-O-War with Riptide. It's not even close of a match, but Dude plays along by not pulling too hard. Here, they are playing over a "Message in a Bottle" Dude's human found. Problem was that the bottle was dated the day before. Sean (Dude's human) said he was going to put it back in the ocean. It contained a picture of a young girl with a note to her mother who'd passed. Very sweet.

Tempest isn't as skilled as Riptide at Tug-O-War, but she can still run with the big dogs!

About This Blog

San Diego's Dog Beach (in Ocean Beach) is the original leash-free dog beach. It's a stretch of sand and ocean that is one big 24-hour playground for canines and humans. This unique place is home to many, and a special trip for others. There is always a story to tell. I'm lucky enough to visit Dog Beach nearly every day, and this blog is my way of sharing a wonderful place with anyone who loves dogs, the beach, or both.

I'm a PR gun for hire that spends much of my day tied to the computer or iPhone. After moving to San Diego from the Midwest 14 years ago, I never looked back. I found my home. My home office is only a mile away from the Pacific Ocean, which allows me to enjoy mornings at San Diego's most excellent leash-free beach with my dogs. Social and exercise time for all of us.
