you know it's a holiday weekend when...

The BoomBoxTruck shows up.

This guy (I'm guessing a pro DJ) converted some flatbed truck into a super sized sound system on wheels. Entertaining, to say the least. Though, I doubt anyone looking for a parking spot close to the beach later in the day didn't find it amusing.

It may look like it, but this Boxer wasn't running away from the BoomBoxTruck with all its might.

This little MinPin puppy just didn't know what to do with itself. Everything was fascinating.

Bobby and I saw that guy too. We were wondering if he had a speaker business and was trying to promote it. Anyway - I agree, sometimes parking gets tough for this guy to come and chill out - THERE'S NOT A DANCE FLOOR FOR THE DOGS ANYWAY! :) looks like we missed you again... Hope you're week end has been fun!

About This Blog

San Diego's Dog Beach (in Ocean Beach) is the original leash-free dog beach. It's a stretch of sand and ocean that is one big 24-hour playground for canines and humans. This unique place is home to many, and a special trip for others. There is always a story to tell. I'm lucky enough to visit Dog Beach nearly every day, and this blog is my way of sharing a wonderful place with anyone who loves dogs, the beach, or both.

I'm a PR gun for hire that spends much of my day tied to the computer or iPhone. After moving to San Diego from the Midwest 14 years ago, I never looked back. I found my home. My home office is only a mile away from the Pacific Ocean, which allows me to enjoy mornings at San Diego's most excellent leash-free beach with my dogs. Social and exercise time for all of us.
