I like the many opposites in these shots taken just minutes apart...
Bearington (L) and friend chase each other up and down the beach, each with a toy in his mouth. The sun was coming from behind (and to the left) of the camera.
Mates Sammy and Charlie charged at each other, just changing directions before they collide. I was facing the sun, and neither dog held a toy.
San Diego's Dog Beach (in Ocean Beach) is the original leash-free dog beach. It's a stretch of sand and ocean that is one big 24-hour playground for canines and humans. This unique place is home to many, and a special trip for others. There is always a story to tell. I'm lucky enough to visit Dog Beach nearly every day, and this blog is my way of sharing a wonderful place with anyone who loves dogs, the beach, or both.
I'm a PR gun for hire that spends much of my day tied to the computer or iPhone. After moving to San Diego from the Midwest 14 years ago, I never looked back. I found my home. My home office is only a mile away from the Pacific Ocean, which allows me to enjoy mornings at San Diego's most excellent leash-free beach with my dogs. Social and exercise time for all of us.
