coming and going
The kids (TempTide) haven't been featured lately, so thought it was time. :) Not sure which way they are cuter:

We left for the beach about 15-30 minutes later than usual this AM, and boy did we luck out with the sun. It was clearer than it has been, even a little earlier, but the sun was bright and warm when we arrived.
Check out those reflections!
Not sure what kind of pup this is - some sort of Spaniel, I'm sure - but he seemed to have fun prancing and pose for me simultaneously.

Bulldogs have the best faces, even when they are at rest. But a trotting Bulldog is just delicious.

Challenges over who gets to own a hole after it has been dug happen occasionally, but I was lucky enough to catch two recently.
Sarah loves her ball. Almost as much as Riptide. Caught a few snaps of her this weekend enjoying her ball both in - and out - of water.

How about both? Guinness, the Rottweiler that lives across the street from us, takes a run in the surf with our little butter ball, Tempest. She'd be the black 'n tan. :)
These guys were having a little tussle deciding who got to carry the miniature tire around. I'm thinking the one with the "tuxedo" is the clear winner.

With company in town, beach trips this week were hurried or nonexistent. Now, we're back in the swing of things...
We haven't seen Odessa in about 3 years! We ran in to her and her lady, Nadra, this morning. What a nice surprise.Sorry for the light posting this week, but I'm hosting my girl Kylie (her mom is one of my oldest, closest and dearest friends) for the week. She's 13 and visiting from Kansas City. She'll be taking surf lessons today, and we did all kinds of shopping and driving with the top down yesterday.
Kylie snapped a few shots at the beach yesterday. And here we go!
So check this out! Yes, that's a miniature horse on the beach. He was visiting to raise awareness of the shelter that saves him and raise money for the cause. The dogs did much better than I thought they would.Sometimes I just watch dogs interact. I find myself fascinated with their communication system. It was fun watching this Boxer and friend running, wrestling and playing. Obviously "friend" is a bit of a nipper, but the Boxer didn't mind one bit. Just a day at the beach.
